Charoe Typeface + Extras
Our new typeface Charoe is a playful and elegant sans serif, perfect for branding projects, headlines, posters and packaging! Primarily it is characterized by a modern look with straight shapes, but on closer view, you will notice its subtle connection to vintage type design from the early 20th century.
A wide range of ligatures, alternate characters, as well as six different weights allow unique and versatile design options! Furthermore it is a unicase typeface, so you can also play with uppercase and lowercase initials. But that’s not all! As a little bonus I included 15 textured paper tears (PNG), which I used for this presentation.
- Charoe Bold (OTF, TTF)
- Charoe Semi Bold (OTF, TTF)
- Charoe Medium (OTF, TTF)
- Charoe Regular (OTF, TTF)
- Charoe Light (OTF, TTF)
- Charoe Thin (OTF, TTF)
- 15 High Res. Paper Tears (PNG, 6000px high)
- 6 Weights (Bold – Thin)
- Character set A-Z with some special lowercase options
- Special Ligatures
- Stylistic Alternates
- Numerals & Punctuation
- Accented Characters (West Europe)
Most of the fonts require advanced graphic software that supports Open Type Features like Adobe Illustrator, InDesign or Photoshop. I can’t guarantee complete usability in basic text software like Microsoft Word or similar.

CHAROE is a nicely designed font, with many useful ligatures. I wish there were an Extra Bold version. Also, wanted more stand-alone special glyphs (H K L R) instead of making them ligatures with other letters.
I love this font. I actually learned what the difference is between true type and open type fonts. This was the font to learn it. We are using it for our beachy brand. We are using their extra stylings to create a very cool look. Thank you!!!!
I can only recommend the font. It is clear, modern and clean. The range of glyphs is also very good and gives enough creative freedom
I have license to many of the fonts from Heritage, I have used them time after time for many different projects. When I saw the Charoe font, I immediately saw use for it in a few of my upcoming projects. It has not disappointed. A very classy font that really adds something special to my projects.
